In this drama, she played as Empress Ki Seung Rang or commonly known as Empress Ki (奇承娘皇后; 기승랑황후 / Hoàng Hậu Kỳ Thừa Nương), the Empress Consort of Emperor Yuan Huizong (元惠宗; 원혜종 / Nguyên Huệ Tông) of Mongol Yuan Dynasty (China), who originally was born and came from Koryeo (Goryeo) Empire of Korea. Empress Ki is the villainous enemy who tried to send Mongol Yuan army to invade Koryeo Empire (Korea) in 1364 to despose and destroy and avenge on Emperor Gongmin of Koryeo (Goryeo) Dynasty who destroyed her whole clan in homeland, included her older brother Ki Cheol but defeated by Koryeo army led by General Choi Yeong and Lee Seong Kye.

"Shin Don" is the historical Korean drama talks about the life of Buddhist Monk Shin Don (辛旽; 신돈 / Tân Đồn), who is the Imperial Preceptor that helped and advised Emperor Gongmin (恭愍帝; 공민제 / Cung Mẫn Đế) or commonly known as King Gongmin to make Koryeo (Goryeo) Dynasty a great empire again, being independent and no longer a vassal state of Mongol Yuan Dynasty in 14th century.

On these days, she was playing as Queen Jinseong (眞聖女王; 진성여왕 / Nữ Hoàng Chân Thánh), the 51st King / Emperor of Shin La Dynasty (新羅; 신라 / Tân La) and also the 3rd and last Queen / Empress Regent of Korean history in Korean movie "The Legend Of The Evil Lake". This movie was premiered on November 28 2003.

In the interview, they asked her about her role as Queen Jinseong in the film with the comment "Acting As A Queen Make You A Real Queen". She smiled and answered: "I've been playing as Queen or Emperor's Wife in every historical drama, so i suffer from queen syndrome in real life too."
